I've seen some mention about seeing the huge Muppet popup, or actually the overly sensitive scan. You can't get to scroll down without touching it. Click off, and pops up again. Sometimes the x to click off is missing. Now, I was going to read someone's lens, and there was a redirect with a big popup for Vanity Fair. There was something about viewing this while waiting for the download of the lens. This looks bad for visitors. I know I would click off in a heartbeat especially if ads popping up everywhere kept annoying me while I was trying to read.
I know popups can be turned off, but until recently I haven't seen these on our lenses. I hope this is not something new, that's going to be the norm. My concern is how visitors will feel about them. Is anyone else seeing the Vanity Fair one? I always thought the placement of the ads was moderate, and had a visual appeal , but these are so spammy.
